Cawinet Lands First TELKONET Installation

Allentown, PA - March 27, 2007 - CAWinet, Inc. has completed its first Telkonet installation for the Comfort Inn - West, Mechanicsburg, PA. The hotel management decided to search for options beside their unreliable internal wireless network. In doing so, they discovered Telkonet iWire System, where high-speed internet access is delivered within a building using the building's existing electrical wiring. The system uses power line communications (PLC) technology to convert every power outlet to a high-speed data network. The Comfort Inn had an internal wireless access system that proved unreliable and would not sufficiently penetrate the thick concrete walls of the hotel. The Telkonet PLC technology system utilized the existing electrical grid of the hotel to deliver high-speed broadband successfully and reliably. The system was successfully tested by connecting to the internet through various electrical outlets located in different areas of the hotel. The total installation took one day.
